Just a quick update: the weather has been amazing so the Peacemobile has been on the road this winter actually she’s given us 23,000 happy miles in the past 6 months, I don’t think she’s see that much highway in years! We’re still planning our summer road trip and I won’t go into a rant about oil companies it was bad enough they covered our beautiful beaches here in AL with oil, so let’s hope I can afford to keep her keeping on.

There’s not many hippie communes left in the world and as Andrew Jacobs of The New York Times wrote that, contrary to popular misconceptions, “most communes of the ’90s are not free-love refuges for flower children, but well-ordered, financially solvent cooperatives where pragmatics, not psychedelics, rule the day.”[1] There are many contemporary intentional communities all over the world, a list of which can be found at the Fellowship for Intentional Community.[2]
One of those is the Findhorn Foundation community who is celebrating their 50th anniversary year with a Love, Magic, Miracles conference to explore and celebrate the spiritual truth that love is the greatest power on earth.
